When dubbing from tape to disc, follow the instructions
here.
1 Loadthetapewiththesidethatwillberecorded
firsttobeplayedfirst.Setthenoisereduction,
reversemode,etc.Also,checkthe

2 Loadarecordabledisc.
3 Usethe
MENU
keyuntil
DUB>VOL
appearson
thescreen.Usethe
MULTI DIAL
toselect
THRU
to
bypasstheinputlevelcontrol(see“Bypassingthe
inputlevelfordubbing”onpage23).
Ifyouwanttoadjusttheinputvolume,setthe
DUB>VOL
menuto
ON
andusetheCDdeck’s
INPUT
controltoadjustthelevelofsignals.If
youwishtoadjustthevolumebeforerecording
starts,puttheCD-RWintorecordstandbyor
Monitormode(see“Inputmonitoringonpage
20”)andusethe
INPUT 1 SEL
keytoselect
TAPe.
4 Pressthe
DUB 1
key.
TheCDgoesintorecordstandby.Thetapere-
windstothestartofthetapeandstartsplaying
back.TheCDrecorderstartsrecording.
5 Whentheavailablerecordingtimeonthediscis
finished,orthetapehasstopped,thenrecording
willstoponthedisc.
Youcanalsostopthedubbingprocessbypress-
ingeitherofthe
STOP
keys.
NOTE
A recordable disc must be loaded in the drive. The
DUB 1 key is disabled if the media are not loaded,
and if the drives are in any mode other than stop.

tape
1 Torecordfromthemiddleofthetape,setnoise
reduction,reversemode,etc.andlocatethetape
tothepositionwhereplaybackwillstart.
2 Pressthetape
PAUSE
keytoleavethetapein
pausedmode.
3 Witharecordablediscinthedrive,pressthe
DUB 1
key.Thetapewillstartplayingback,and
thediscwillstartrecording.

Bypassing the INPUT level for dubbing
The input control can be bypassed so that it has no
effect when dubbing, in the following way:
1 Pressthemenukeyuntilthe
DUB>VOL
itemap-
pears.
2 Turnthedialtoselect
THRU
,thecontrolisby-
passedanddisabled.
NOTE
This setting applies only to dubbing procedures,
not to other recordings.
It is not possible to make this menu setting (or other
menu settings) when dubbing is actually taking
place.
”Manually divide track” on page 25). If you want to
use manual track division, use the normal recording
procedure, with the phono inputs selected as the
source.
This mode cannot be entered if a recordable disc is
not loaded in the drive.
It is also possible to perform manual recording to disc
from the
RIAA PHONO INPUT
source. This is the same
as the standard manual recording procedure (“Basic
recording” on page 21), except that the
PhONO input
option should be selected using the
INPUT 1 SEL
key
before recording starts.
