Upon receiving a call, either icon (A) or icon (B) appears on the screen, depending
if the call is from the front gate or back gate (in case you have purchased an optional caller unit
for back gate). The handset can answer the call by pressing the button 9 , the icon
(E) will show up on the screen correspondingly. Now conversation with the visitor is possible
however, the unit is set to have a limit on the time of call (60 seconds). When the time is almost
over, a warning beep can be heard and you can extend the call time for another 60 seconds by
pressing the button 9 .There is no restriction to the number of time extensions. The time-
out feature is useful to protect your privacy if one forgets to end the call by pressing the
button 8 .
•
Intercom function between handsets is applicable only if you have two or more handsets. To
send a call to a handset, press the CALL button 10 once. Please note all units must operate on
same channel and set with same ID code in order to perform intercom (refer to cloning procedures
and setting of operating channel). All handsets on the same channel will receive the CALL alert
if one handset sends a call.
•
Selective calls to a particular handset are not possible. Whenever a handset initiates a call, all the
remaining units will ring and can answer to the call. However, only the unit who first press the
button 9 can reply to the call, all others will be excluded from the intercom. Handsets
under intercom may not be able to detect a call from the caller unit. So it is advisable to keep
the intercom conversation short.
•
Handsets can initiate a call to the caller unit by keeping the CALL button 10 on the handset
pressed for 4 seconds.
Opening and closing a gate
•
Once a call has been answered, you can use the button 11 to remotely open the electric
door latch for the visitor (this function only available if there is 8 - 12V AC supply to the caller
unit and your door is equipped with an electric latch). Press the button 11 shortly, wait for
4-5 seconds and the icon (I) appears on the screen, showing the door latch is opened.
•
To avoid misuse by children, this door lock opening function can be activated ON or OFF using
the yellow dip switch 20 . When set to OFF, pressing the button 11 will have no effect,
the door lock can only be opened when switch 20 is set to ON.
•
The door lock function will work at any time but will have to be pressed for a long time of 5
seconds if there is no call in progress. This closing feature is needed if there is no automatic closing
installed on the gate motor and the gate needs to be closed by triggering again. Also the gate
can be opened if there is no call initiated for example if people are let out of the property from
the inside.
