AIR SUPPLY
COMBUSTION AIR INLE T
The air for the combustion chamber of the heater must not be drawn from
the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Combustion air must be taken
from outside of the vehicle to guarantee the safety of the passengers.
(Requirements from 2001/56/EG Annex VII 2.5.1 and ECE R122 Part I
5.3.5.1).
The combustion air inlet must be so positioned or guarded that blocking by
rubbish or luggage is unlikely. (Requirements from 2001/56/EG Annex VII
2.5.2 and ECE R122 Part I 5.3.5.2).
The combustion air intake shall not be mounted with the opening towards
the front of the vehicle.
The intake silencer must be installed on the air intake pipe in order to filter
out bigger particles (sand, leaves), and reduce the noise coming from the
heater unit.
