Connecting the Odyssey Imager to a Network

Odyssey Settings folder. If all of the Odyssey users have Administrator 

accounts (or use the same Administrator account), it is not necessary 

to perform this procedure. 

It is also not necessary to perform this 

procedure on any computer configured by a LI-COR

®

 represen-

tative during initial instrument installation. 

The instructions are 

written for the Windows XP operating system and the Windows 

Vista

®

 or Windows 7 operating systems. 

Windows XP Instructions

Follow the instructions below to configure the Windows XP 

operating system to allow all users access to the Odyssey

®

 settings 

folder. 

1)

Open the Windows Explorer application.

2)

Choose 

Tools > Folder Options

.

3)

Select the 

View

 tab in the Folder Options window.

4)

Deselect 

Use Simple File Sharing

 in the 

Advanced Settings

 list. 

5)

In the 

Advanced Settings

 list, find 

Show Hidden Files and Folders

and make sure it is selected.
