SETTINGS
The Printer Menu allows you to view and change the printer’s internal settings. This chapter
details the various menu settings and the default settings.
USB
DRIVE
MENU
The USB Drive menu allows the user to print a selected file from the installed USB Flash
Drive. The file selected for printing must be one of the following formats:

Supported PDF (upto v 1.6)
>
PCL5, PCL6, FX80 or PostScript
>
Generic text (e.g. .txt format)
Size of PDF files to be printed is limited by available space in standard user flash memory
unless a Compact Flash or Hard Disk option is installed.
To print a PDF file, save the PDF on any USB flash drive in either the root directory or a
subdirectory. Plug the flash drive into the Host USB connector on the control panel.

Press the ON LINE button before plugging the flash drive into the socket.
When the flash drive is recognized by the printer, you will hear a brief tone
indicating the flash drive was plugged in.

The printer will then automatically go to the
USB Drive
menu. Select the
sub-
menu. You will see the list of files on the USB drive.

Select the desired file. The BACK button may be used to return from a sub-directory
to the parent directory to exit the Print option.

The user will be prompted to enter a number of Copies for the print request (the
default value is 1).
The numeric keypad may be used to change the requested number of copies.

Press the ENTER button and the file will be processed for printing.
After printing is completed, the printer will return to the Ready to Print state and
you may remove the USB flash drive.

The Print Jobs menu is used to access print jobs that are stored in the printer. As specified
by the print driver, the print jobs stored in the printer are of one of the following types:

Stored Job
>
Secure Print
>
Proof and Print
>
Timed Job
All stored jobs are accessed by entering the Job PIN associated with the job. When the
Print Job Menu is selected, the user is prompted to
Enter PIN
. The 6-digit PIN value
should be entered using the numeric keypad buttons. As each digit is entered the display

This Menu item will only be found if a USB Flash drive is installed in the Host
USB connector on the Control Panel.
NOTE
If the printer is in power save mode and the USB Flash Drive is plugged in, the
printer will not recognise it. The printer must be in Ready to Print state.
