Troubleshooting
Symptom
Remedy
The picture does not
appear on the screen.
• Check if your contact has disabled his/her
video.If you attempt to call an audio-only
H.323 phone (VoIP phone), only your self-
view will appear on the screen.
• Check if you (or your contact) have set the
video input to external (pg. 46) and have not
connected and operated the external camera
properly.
No sound from the
handset or the
speakerphone.
• Check if the handset is plugged in. (pg. 8)
• Check if your contact has muted his/her audio.
• Check if your contact has set the audio input
to external and have not connected and
operated the external microphone properly.
The audio is breaking
up.
• This is usually due to the poor state of the
network. Lower the bandwidth settings. If
video frame rate is too slow resulting in jerky
video due to lowering the bandwidth, change
the video resolution settings to QCIF or video
quality to faster speed.
