Selecting Water Day Mode

Optimized by WeatherTRAK:ETandindividualstationsettings
determinewateringdaysautomatically.Presstheplusorminus
buttontoexcludeadayifneeded.
Odd/Even:WatersbasedonOddorEvencalendardays.Press
theplusorminusbuttontoselectOddorEvendays.
Interval:WhenIntervalisselected,presstherightorleftarrowto
WATER DAY INTERVAL. Presstheplusorminusbuttontosetthe
dayinterval.Dayintervalscanbesetfrom1to30days.
Days of Week: Usesa7-daycalendarSundaythroughSaturday.
Presstherightarrowtomovethrougheachdayoftheweek.Press
theplusorminusbuttontoturndaysofforon.(Offdaysshown
asadash“—“).
Days of Week by Month:Usesa7-daycalendarSundaythrough
Saturdayforeachmonthoftheyear.Presstherightarrowbutton

Stations
Individual stations are assigned to a program (start time(s), water
windowandwaterdaymode),andstationmode.Therearefoursta-
tionmodestoselectfrom:AutomatedbyWeatherTRAK,Userw/ET,
User No ET and Off. Select the station mode based on the type of
landscapetobeirrigated.
Note:Thesamestationcannotbeassignedtodifferent
programs.
Programming for Existing Landscapes
Automated by WeatherTRAK
Automatically calculates run times, cycle and soaks for each zone
basedonzone-specificattributes.DailyETupdatesthenadjustthe
calculatedruntimestoreflectcurrentweatherconditions.Runtimes
willvaryasweatherchanges.
Note:Tonavigatethroughthenextseveralscreens,pressthe
rightarrowbuttontomovetoeachunderlinedheadingand
presstheplusorminusbuttontoselectachoicewithineach
function.
Select Station:Locatethestationtobeprogrammed.
Select Station Mode: Select AutomatedbyWeatherTRAK.
Note:ToPreviewabbreviatedAutomodestationsettingsfor
thisspecificstation,pressandholdthe*button.
Select a Program: Assignthestationtoaprogramthathasastart
timeandwaterdaymode.
Use Water Window:Ifthisstationcanirrigateoutsideofthewa-
terwindow,select“No”.
Usable Rainfall:Ifastationisunderaroof,heavytreecanopyor
semi-porousroof,selecteither“None”orapercentofrainfallthat
isactuallyused.When“None”isselected,thespecificstationwill
waterduringRainPause.
Sprinkler Type: Select 1 of 13 industry-recognized sprinkler
types.Whenasprinklertypeisselected,adefaultprecipitation
rateandsprinklerefficiencyvalueisautomaticallyassigned.Both
valuescanbechangedinthenexttwoscreensifdifferentthan
thedisplayeddefaultrates.
Precipitation Rate:IshowmuchisappliedinInchesperHour.
Changing the precip rate will change run times. Lower Precip
rates=highruntimes,HigherPreciprates=lowerruntimes.
Sprinkler Efficiency:Everysprinklerapplieswaterwithaspecific
efficiency based on its design and performance and spacing. If
headorrowspacingisstretched,efficiencyisless.(Higher=less
water;Lower=morewater).
Soil Type:Select1of5soiltypesdeterminedbytheUSDA.
Plant Type:Select1of17planttypesthatbestrepresentsthe
valvezonebeingirrigated.
Root Depth:Presstheplusorminusbuttontoselectrootdepth.
(Shallowroots=morefrequentwatering;deeproots=lessfre-
quentwatering.)
Microclimate:Select1of4levelsofsunexposureofthevalve
zonebeingirrigated.
Slope:Select1of5slopegradients.Thesteepertheslopethe
highernumberofcycleswillbeapplied.
Sprinkler Location on Slope:Select1of5choicesidentifying
sprinklerlocationsonaslope.
