Maintenance Tips

Manual Watering

Stations can be operated individually with specific run times or all

stationswithoneruntime.PresstheMANUALMenubutton.Select

“SpecificStations”or“AllStations”bypressingtheplusorminusbut-

ton.  

Manual Water Specific Stations:  Press the right or left arrow

buttontothefirststationyouwanttowater.Presstheplusormi-

nusbuttontotheminutesdesired.Theselectedstationwillstart

immediately.Toaddmorestations,presstherightorleftarrow

buttontothenextstationdesired.

Manual Water All Stations:Presstheplusorminusbuttontothe

desiredruntime.Station1willstartimmediately,andallotherac-

tivestationswillfollowsequentiallyforthesameruntime.

Note:TostopastationthatisoperatingmanuallypresstheOFF

Menubuttonfor5secondsthenbacktoRUN.

% Adjust - More or Less Water

Adjust Water Amount

Adjustsindividualstationsformoreorlesswater.A0%settingmeans

thereisnoadjustmentforthatparticularstation.

Pressthe%ADJUSTMenubuttonifvalvezoneistoowetortoodry.

Presstheplusorminusbuttontoselectthestationtoadjustin5%

incrementsfrom-50%to+25%.

Adjust Day Frequency

Increasesordecreasesthenumberofdaysoftheweekperstation

whenwaterisappliedanddoesnotincreasetheamountbeingap-

pliedunlessETincreases.A0%settingmeansthereisnoadjustment

forthatparticularstation.

PresstheplusorminusbuttontoDayFrequency/Depletion.Press

therightorleftarrowbuttontoADJDAYS(MAD).Presstherightor

leftbuttontoselectthestationtoadjust.

Note:UsingeitherAdjustfunctionadjustsETorMADwhichwill

adjustruntimesorfrequencyofirrigation.

Rain Pause - Suspend Irrigation

Pause Controller: This feature is useful for major rain events,

scheduledactivitiesoranyothereventwherewateringmustbe

suspendedforasetperiodoftime.RainPausestopsallirrigation

(except manual watering). Press the RAIN PAUSE Menu button.

Presstheplusorminusbuttontosetthenumberofdaystobe

paused(upto200days).RainPausecanbereducedoreliminat-

edbyusingpressingtheplusorminusbuttontoremovepaused

days.

User With ET

Set run times, number of cycles and the soaks between cycles.  It

thenautomaticallyincreasesordecreasesruntimebasedonthedaily

weatherinformationdefinedasET.

Select Station: Locatethestationtobeprogrammed.

Select Station Mode:SelectUserw/ET

Select a Program:Assignstationtoaprogram(withastarttime,

waterwindowandwaterdaymode).

Use Water Window:Ifthisstationcanirrigateoutsideofthewa-

terwindow,select“No”.

Usable Rainfall: Ifastationisunderaroof,heavytreecanopyor

semi-porousroof,selecteither“None”orapercentofrainfallthat

isactuallyused.When“None”isselected,thespecificstationwill

waterduringRainPause.

Set Runtime: Setadesiredcycleruntime.

Set Number of Cycles and the Soak Time:  Select from 1-20

cyclesandSoaktimesfrom0to480minutesin10minuteincre-

ments.

Reference ET:  Set a reference ET that is appropriate for the

schedulejustset.ThenumberyouseeinparenthesisisETforthe

pastweekandisthevaluetoenterasPart1and2.Alternately,

youcansettheprogramyouwouldruninJulyanduseaweekly

referenceETthatisnormalforyourareainJuly.

Other Stations:Repeatthesestepsforotherstationsassignedto

thisstationmode.

Programming for New Landscapes

User No ET

UserNoETiscommonlyusedforplantestablishmentperiodswhen

overwateringisrequiredtoestablishnewroots.Runtimes,cycle

andsoakperiodsarealluserdefinedinthisstationmode.UserNo

ETsetsupthesameasUserWithETexceptthereisnoreferenceET.

ActivationisnotrequiredforUserNoET.

Thisfunctionletsyouquicklycopyallstationsettingsfromanypar-

ticularstationtoanyotherstationortoallstations.PresstheCOPY

Menubutton.Presstherightorleftarrowbuttontoselectthestation

tocopyfrom.Presstheplusorminusbuttontoselectthestation

tocopyto.(“AllStations”isoneofthechoices.)Pushthe(*)button

untilCOPYINGisdisplayed.Repeattheprocessforeachstationtobe

copied.
