INPUTS R & L The two multi-channel
inputs of the XP1000.5 are receiving fully balan-
ced line signals through the two Mini-DIN inter-
connects from the supplied X-PULSE Symmetry
Converter. Apart from the 5 or 6 channels
(FRONT & REAR, SUB mono) split into their right
and left channel components - the Mini-DIN inter-
connects also transport the "Remote"
switching voltage from the head-unit.
IMPORTANT: The pin connections of the balanced
left and right channel Mini-DIN interconnects are
designed in such a way that they may not be
reversed by mistake! If the left and right channel
Mini-DIN interconnects are connected to the
amplifier with reversed channels, the ampilfier
will not operate!
2
OPERATING LED (green) signalling regular
operation when lit and faulty connection or faulty
amplifier or protection status when off.
The OPERATING LED will also not come on if
the channels of the Mini-DIN interconnects are
reversed or if not all 6 RCA inputs of the
Symmetry Converter are connected.
3
REMOTE-ON LED (green) signalling incoming
turn-on voltage from head-unit through Symmetry
Converter and respecitve Mini-DlN interconnects.
The REMOTE LED also signals regular amplifier
operation if lit together with OPERATING LED.
4
+12 V for the connection of the amplifier to
the positive pole of the car battery.
5
GND/GROUND for the connection of the
amplifier to the chassis ground.

Terminals for the connection of the subwoofer(s).
9
FUSES (ATC-Type/Mini-Fuse) 2 x 30 Ampère
for internal protection of the XP1O00.5.
Replacement fuses must have identical values!
10
5/6 Channel RCA Adaptor Cable (incl.
"Remote" lead) 50 cm, for direct connection bet-
ween 5 or 6 channel head-unit pre-outputs and
X-PULSE Symmetry Converter.
IMPORTANT: The XP1000.5 will only operate if all
RCA inputs are connected! If a head-unit features
only one pre-output for the subwoofer, a RCA
Y-Adapter (1M to 2F) may be used.
IMPORTANT: In order not to interfere with the
complex filtering electronics of the XP1000.5 all
pre-out signals from the head-unit should be
fullrange signals! If e.g. a lowpass sub pre-out
signal from the head-unit is connected to the
Symmetry Converter input, the lowpass cutoff
frequency setting of the XP1000.5 (LOWPASS F
LP
)
will always be shifted downward!
In case of insecurites or problems with connec-
tions and control settings, please contact your
X-PULSE dealer.

SYMMETRY CONVERTER INPUT
The 5/6 channels standard unbalanced input
signals from the head-unit are converted into fully
balanced output channels for the XP1000.5. The
"Remote" switching voltage from the head-unit is
also connected to the Converter input and passed
on to the XP1000.5 through the balanced 8-pin
Mini-DIN cables.

SYMMETRY CONVERTER OUTPUTS L & R
5 fully balanced output channels (FRONT & REAR
stereo, SUB mono) are available from the
Symmetry Converter Outputs. Separated into their
left and right channel components the balanced
signals are 'transported' together with the
"Remote" switching voltage to the balanced
XP1000.5 input section.

&
13b
Mini-DlN INTERCONNECTS L & R
(2 x 5 m) are used between Symmetry Converter
and the resepctive INPUTS on the XP1000.5 (see
description 1 u. 2 on Amplifier).
