Place the CRW-F1DX drive horizontally.

Remove all additional USB devices connected to the computer, 

and turn on the computer.

Be sure that the power switch of the CRW-F1DX drive is 

turned off (STANDBY).

Set the 1394/USB selector of the CRW-F1DX drive to USB.

Be sure to set the 1394/USB selector while the power switch of the CRW-F1DX is 

turned off (STANDBY). Interface cannot be switched if the power switch is on.
