Initial commissioning
Perform initial commissioning
The following steps must be performed consecutively
during the initial commissioning.
• Insert battery in the mobile unit
Insert the battery supplied as described in the
EasyStart R operating instructions, in the chapter on
”Maintenance / Replace battery“. Do not activate the
mobile unit yet.
• Apply operating voltage
The operating voltage is applied by inserting the fuse in
the fuse holder.
Automatic
detection
Five seconds after the operating voltage is applied the
LED of the pushbutton begins to light up. The radio
remote control now checks which heater is connected
and confi gures the operator prompting of the mobile
unit.
• Teach mobile unit
When the pushbutton’s LED starts to fl ash the mobile
unit can be taught as follows.
Note on LED display
– slow red-green fl ashing
The function can be used to teach up to 4 mobile
units at a stationary unit, although only one mobile unit
can ever establish contact with the stationary unit.
Note on LED display
– very slow red-green fl ashing
Only the current mobile unit is taught using the
function. All previously taught mobile units are deleted.
If the mobile unit is not activated within 30 seconds, the
pushbutton‘s LED display goes out. The mobile unit must
then be taught as described under ”Teach additional
mobile unit“.

• Press the pushbutton installed in
the vehicle until the pushbutton‘s
LED begins to fl ash.
• Activate mobile unit.
