MECHANICAL CONTROLS
AIR VENT AND AIR DIRECTION CONTROLS

O START THE AIR CONDITIONER
,
SET THE CONTROL KEY TO ONE OF
THE MODES
. T
O SHUT THE UNIT OFF
,
TURN THE KNOB TO
OFF.
COOLING
To set the air conditioner in COOL mode, turn the control knob to :
LO COOL :
For NIGHTIME and/or a SMOOTH cooling.
HI COOL :
For MAXIMUM and FAST cooling.
FAN ONLY :
For continuous airflow without cooling, set to :
LO FAN :
For a SMOOTH and more silent airflow.
HI FAN :
For MAXIMUM and POWERFUL airflow.
TEMPERATURE SETTINGS (to use only in COOL mode) :
First turn the TEMPERATURE rotary control to a mid-setting. Then
adjust the temperature to the desired level of room comfort by
turning the TEMPERATURE control knob clockwise towards
MAX COOL
(7) or counterclockwise towards MIN COOL (1).
• When the set temperature is reached, the thermostat will start and
stop the compressor in ordre to maintain set temperature.
AIR VENT AND EXHAUST CONTROL

For maximum continuous cooling, CLOSE the AIR VENT by
completely pushing the tab in (Fig. A) ; only the air in the
room is circulated.
2.
To draw outdoor fresh air into the room, OPEN the AIR VENT
by pulling the tab half way out.
3.
To draw stale or smoky air out of the room and take outdoor
fresh air in, OPEN the AIR EXHAUST by completely pulling the
tab out (Fig. B).

he AIR VENT and EXHAUST CONTROL will only function when
FAN is running.
AIR DIRECTION
Depending on the model of your air
conditioner, you can either :
Use the tab to direct the airflow right
or left (Figure C)
OR
Rotate the horizontal louvers to direct the
airflow up or down, and use the tab to
direct the vertical louvers right or left
(Figure D).
