Collecting Refuse
According to your Expert(t) 2000
TM
’s
features, your truck lets you proceed
either to automated refuse collection
(using the Helping Hand
TM
arm),
semi-automated collection (using the
cart tipper), or manual collection.
Collecting Refuse Using the
Helping Hand
TM
Once you have finished the
start-of-the-day inspection and made
sure the Expert(t) 2000
TM
is ready for a
work day, you can drive to the loading
area to start collecting refuse.

To collect refuse using the Helping
Hand
TM
:
1.
Make sure you have read and
understood the operation
principles of the joystick, which is
the control device for the
automated arm operation.
2.
Stop the vehicle where the arm
is aligned with the roller cart. The
distance between the arm and
the roller cart can be up to 6 feet
(1.83m).
3.
Make sure the gripper is open
enough to grab the cart you
intend to pick up. This
adjustment is important to avoid
slamming on adjacent carts.
Note:For any action or movement of
the arm, always press and
hold the Deadman switch on
the joystick.
