orDES).IfthereisamixofAESandDESencryption,onlythesymbolfor
DESencryption(singlepadlock)willbedisplayed.The‘closedpadlock’will
onlybedisplayedoneachsitewhenalllinksintheMultiSiteconferenceare
encrypted.

.Thesystemwilltrytousethemostsecureencryption–AES–depending
onthecapabilitiesoftheothersites.ForsitesthatfailtosupportAESencryp-
tion,DESencryptionwillbetried.
DES
.ThesystemwilltrytosetupthecallusingDESwith56bitsencryption.If
noneoftheothersitesdosupportDES,noothertypeofencryptionwillbeiniti-
ated.
AES
.ThesystemwilltrytouseAESwith128bitsencryptionwhensettingup
calls.IfAESisnotsupportedbytheothersite(s),noothertypeofencryptionwill
beinitiated.
BothAESandDESencryptedsitescanbeconnectedatthesametime.
