Phaser 3425 Laser Printer Service Manual

Replace Print Cartridge (0x53) or Invalid Print 

Cartridge (0x55)

The printer’s front panel displays “Replace Print Cartridge”. The Print Cartridge has 

been replaced with the correct Xerox Print Cartridge. Printer power has been cycled 

and the error still appears.

Is the switch actuating lever on top of the 

Print Cartridge damaged?

Replace Print 

Cartridge.

Go to Step 2.

Is the Cover Open Switch connector 

(CN20) properly connected to the Main 

Board?

Go to Step 3.

Reconnect CN20.

Use the embedded diagnostics to check 

operation of the Cover Open Switch. Does 

the switch operate correctly?

Replace the Main 

Board.

Replace the 

Cover Open 

Switch.
