Section 1: Evaluating Color
Multifunction Printers
Environmental Impact
Environmental impact can be assessed in a variety of ways.
Does the
multifunction printer offer advanced technologies that help you save energy and
reduce paper consumption? Also, consider the amount of noise generated by the
device. Is it quiet enough to allow convenient placement in close proximity to its
users without causing a distraction?
How the WorkCentre 7120/7125
multifunction printer exceeds
the environmental impact
requirement
Energy conservation
Xerox innovations benefit the environment
and reduce your electricity bills. A
scanner based on LED lighting instead of
traditional Xenon lamps consumes only
1/3 the power. Plus, EA Ultra-low-Melt
toner requires a lower fusing temperature
than traditional toner while offering
glossy, beautiful office graphics.
Reduced paper consumption
The WorkCentre 7120/7125 multifunction
printer provides duplex printing
capabilities standard. Plus, optional LAN
fax functionality further reduces paper
usage by sending faxes directly from
applications on your desktop. Incoming
faxes can be viewed as thumbnail images
on the user interface — so you only print
what’s important.
The WorkCentre 7120/7125 print driver
includes Earth Smart Settings, a feature
that allows users to choose default
settings that encourage sustainability
practices such as duplex print and draft
mode. Or go paperless and distribute
digital files quickly and easily.
Quiet operation
Out quietist workgroup color multifunction
printer, the WorkCentre 7120/7125 stays
productive while emitting low noise levels.
All fans are turned off in Standby mode
to decrease power consumption and
noise emissions — so the WorkCentre
7120/7125 is quieter than a whisper.
