Defining RADIUS
Clients
Remote Authorization Dial-In User Service
(RADIUS) servers provide
additional security for networks. RADIUS servers provide a centralized
authentication method for 802.1X.
Monitor users have no access to this page.
To configure the RADIUS client:

RADIUS Client Configure Page
contains the following fields:

Primary Server
— Defines the RADIUS Primary Server authentication
fields.

Backup Server
— Defines the RADIUS Backup Server authentication
fields.
■
IP Address
— Defines the RADIUS Server IP address.
■
UDP Port
— Defines the authentication port. The authentication port
is used to verify RADIUS server authentication. The authentication port
default is
1812
.
■
Max Retries
— Defines the number of transmitted requests sent to
the RADIUS server before a failure occurs. Possible field values are
1-30
. The default value is
2
.
■
Timeout
— Defines the amount of time (in seconds) the device waits
for an answer from the RADIUS server before retrying the query, or
