Viewing 802.1X
Authentication
The
802.1X Summary Page
allows the network administrator to view
port-based authentication settings.
To view Port-based Authentication:

802.1X Summary Page
contains the following fields:
■
Port
— Displays a list of interfaces.
■
Current Port Control
— Displays the current port authorization state.
■
Periodic Reauthentication
— Reauthentication can be used to
detect if a new device is plugged into a switch port. If enabled, the
client will be reauthenticated after the interval specified by the
Reauthentication Period.
■
Enabled
— Periodic reauthentication is enabled on the port.
■
Disabled
— Periodic reauthentication is disabled on the port. This is
the default.
■
Reauthentication Period
— Displays the time span (in seconds) in
which the selected port is reauthenticated. The field default is
3600
seconds.
■
Authenticator State
— Displays the current authenticator state.
■
Auto
— Requires a dot1x-aware connected client to be authorized
by the RADIUS server. Clients that are not dot1x-aware will be
denied access.
