For all service work to the upper part of the engine,
other than adjustment of the rockers, it is necessary,
in order to obtain accessibility, to first remove the
petrol tank.
The two petrol taps facilitate this
operation by removing the need to drain the tank
of petrol.
T O REMOVE T W I N SEAT
Remove both screws at rear of seat, release nuts for front mounting, seat can then be
taken away.

TO REMOVE PETROL T A N K
Disconnect the petrol pipes, release seat front fixing bolts and raise the seat slightly.
On Twin Models take off two self-locking nuts, holding the bolt with a screw-driver
if it turns (see illustration 13). Remove the two rear fixing bolts and half clip located in
rear of the petrol taps. Raise the rear end of tank and remove it. On Single Models
take out two front fixing bolts, the rear fixing bolt, remove the tank.
