 This message appears if you close 

the tip cover after the meter has advanced a test area. 

open the tip cover again if you wish to continue with 

the test.

Do not test:

 in this case, the meter returns to the 

Main menu. you can no longer use the test area, 

because the meter will advance the tape again. This 

reduces the number of available tests.

Test:

 in this case, the meter prompts you to open the 

tip cover.
