Kaco proLOG M Operator's Manual - page 5
Make sure first to connect KACO-go and
then the solar inverters. The RS485 is
internally bridged from the PVI-go port to
the “B A RS485“ terminal. KACO and PVI inverters can
now be operated together.
24V internal <-> 24V external
The jumper can be set to INTERNAL or
EXTERNAL.
This jumper refers to the front port of the “24 V
external” connection.
INTERNAL: KACO-go will be supplied via the internal
power supply of KACO-proLOG.
EXTERNÁL: An external voltage supply for KACO-go
may be connected to the “24V external“ terminal.
4.4 Connections
4.4.1 Voltage supply
KACO-proLOG is connected to 110Vac
and supplied via the integrated power
supply. The 24 VDC output voltage of the
power supply is applied to the terminal
marked “24V external” for external
sensors.
4.4.2 KACO-go
Up to 100 current sensors can be
connected at the RJ45 “PVI-go“
ports (Powador-go). The current
sensors can be used , e.g. to
integrate external inverters into
the monitoring system.

4.4.3 Telephone
The data loggers are equipped with an
internal modem (analog or ISDN). The
required cable connection is included in the
scope of delivery.
4.4.4 24V external (rear port)
This port ensures the supply of external
sensors via the internal power supply (max.
230mA). The port is located between the
analog/ISDN modem and Ethernet interface.
4.4.5 Ethernet (for M and XL devices)
In addition to the integrated modem an
Ethernet network connection is
available.
When establishing a direct connection
to a PC/Laptop, make sure to use a
cross-over cable. Connections to a
hub or switch will require a standard
patch cable.
KACO-proLOG can be reached under IP
192.168.100.50 (factory setting); the
k is 255.255.255.0. Detailed instructions
on establishing a connection to an Ethernet device are
given in Section 6.2.

4.4.6 RS485 connection
KACO-
The RS485 Bus is connected to the A/B screw-
type terminals. The data logger uses this
connection to communicate with the external
bus lines (solar inverters or current sensors).
The current sensors are connected to the
provided ports (KACO-go / PVI-go).
