5 Basic Operation - continued
To Move a TV or Radio Channel: Enter Program Edit.
1. Select the preferred channel then press the RED key. A move symbol will appear.
2. Press the / keys to select the position you want to move the channel to.
3. Press the OK key to confirm. 4. Repeat the above steps to move more channels.
Locking a Channel: Enter Program Edit.
You can lock selected channels to prevent viewing:
1. Select the preferred channel then press the YELLOW key. You then need to enter your password, a padlock symbol
will appear next to the channel. The channel is now locked.
2. Repeat the previous steps to select more channels.
3. To confirm and exit the menu, press the EXIT key.
4. Press the YELLOW key to unlock a selected locked channel.
5. To view the locked channel you will be requested to enter your password (the default password ‘000000’ or your
last set password).
5.3 EPG (Electronic channel guide)
The EPG is an on-screen TV guide that shows
scheduled channels seven days in advance for every
tuned channel on supporting satellites*. Press the
EPG key on the Remote Control to access the guide.
You can also schedule recordings in the EPG -
see 13.4 Scheduling a PVR recording pages 16-17.
You can use the / keys to select a channel.
If there is more than one page of information, use
the BLUE key for page up and the YELLOW key for
page down.
The following criteria can be used to sort channels:
[By Default] - Sort the channels by default
[By Encrypt] - Sort the channels into free channels
and encrypted channels
[By Freq] - Sort the channels by frequency
[Service Name] -Sort the channels according to the
name of the stations
5.4 Screen Settings
Press the MENU key then select [Picture].This Menu
lists screen setting options. Press / keys to select
an option and press / keys to adjust the setting.
Press the EXIT key to exit the menu.
Aspect Ratio: Display format options are 4:3 full,
4:3 Pan & Scan, 4:3 Letter Box, 16:9 Wide Screen,
16:9 Pan & Scan, 16:9 Pillar Box or
Auto for optimum display when watching TV.
Resolution: If the picture does not appear correctly,
adjust the resolution. The most common HDMI
resolutions are listed:
[480i] & [480P]: for SD NTSC system TV.
[576i] & [576P]: for SD PAL system TV.
[720P] & [1080i]: for HD NTSC or PAL system TV.
TV format: If the picture does not appear correctly, you need to change the setting.
This should match the most common setting for TVs in your country.
[NTSC]: for NTSC system TV.
[PAL]: for PAL system TV used in UK and Ireland.
Video output:
[CVBS]: CVBS output.
[RGB]: RGB output.
