9) Remove the pilot hood by pulling it up
and off the pilot assembly (Fig. #30).
10) Remove the pilot orifice with a 5/32"
(4mm) hex key (Fig. #31).
11) Replace with pilot orifice supplied
with this kit (marked 35)
12) Reinstall the hood assembly. The pilot
hood should snap in place.
13) Remove the cover panel from around
the valve, by removing the three securing
screws (Fig. #32).
14) Remove the valve face securing
screw on the left and side using the
special tool provided in this kit (Fig. #33).
15) Insert a small screwdriver into the slot
on the right hand side of the valve face
and gently pry the cover away from the
valve (Fig. #34).
16) With a small screwdriver loosen the
rear pressure test point and attach a
manometer (Fig. #35).
17) Ignite the stove and turn to the
highest setting.

18) With a small screwdriver adjust the
pressure regulator to read 10.5" wc
(Fig. #36).
19) Check the pilot system for proper
flame size and operation. Adjust the pilot
flame using the pilot flame adjustment
screw (see Fig.#37). The flame should
cover the thermocouple (see Fig.#2,
page 4).
20) Turn stove off, remove manometer,
tighten up pressure test screw and
reattach valve face.
21) Replace logs, window and door skin.
Conversion Label
In the blank area on the conversion
label, fill in the date and name of the
organization which accepts the
responsibility that this conversion has
been properly done. Peel off the
protective backing and apply the
conversion label directly over the gas
pressure specifications on the rating
