10.8 REVERSE POLARITY AT THE DC INPUT TERMINALS
ThePositiveofthebatteryshouldbeconnectedtothePositiveDCinputterminalofthe
inverterandtheNegativeofthebatteryshouldbeconnectedtotheNegativeDCinput
terminal of the inverter. A reversal of polarity (the Positive of the battery wrongly con-
nectedtotheNegativeDCinputterminaloftheinverterandtheNegativeofthebat-
terywronglyconnectedtothePositiveDCinputterminaloftheinverter)willblowthe
external/internalDCsidefuses.IftheDCsidefuseisblown,theinverterwillbedead.
TheGreenLEDmarked"POWER"(2,Fig6.1)andtheGreenindicationlightontheGFCI
will be switched Off and there will be no AC output.

ReversepolarityconnectionislikelytodamagetheDCinputcircuitry.Theinternalfuse(s)
shouldbereplacedwiththesamesizeoffuse(s)usedintheunit.Iftheunitdoesnotwork
after replacing the fuse(s), it has been permanently damaged and will require repair /
replacement (Please read Section 11 - “Troubleshooting Guide” for more details).

CAUTION!
Damagecausedbyreversepolarityisnotcoveredbywarranty!Whenmakingbattery
connectionsontheinputside,makesurethatthepolarityofbatteryconnectionsiscorrect
(Connect the Positive of the battery to the Positive terminal of the unit and the Negative of
the battery to the Negative terminal of the unit). If the input is connected in reverse
polarity,DCfuse(s)insidetheinverter/externalfusewillblowandmayalsocause
permanent damage to the inverter.
