Setup an Internet e-mail account manually
If the automatic E-mail setup cannot find the necessary settings, you will have
to configure manually for this and you will need the following information.
Setting
Description
User name
Usually the fi rst part of your e-mail address, which appears before the at
sgn (@).
Password
Choose a strong password. You wll have the opton to save your password so
that you do not need to enter t each tme you connect to your e-mal server.
Doman
Ths may or may not be requred by your Internet Servce Provder.
Server Type
The type of e-mal server that hosts your malbox (POP3 or IMAP4).
Account name
A name for ths account. You must use a dfferent name for each account
that you setup.
Network
The type of network your e-mal server connects to.
Incomng mal server
The name of your e-mal server (POP3 or IMAP4).
Requre SSL connecton
Select ths to ensure you always receve e-mal for ths account usng an
SSL connecton. Ths enables you to receve personal nformaton more
securely. Please note that f you select ths and your ISP does not support
an SSL connecton, you wll not be able to connect to receve e-mal.
Outgong mal server
The name of your outgong e-mal server (SMTP).
Outgong server requres
authentcaton
Your outgong e-mal server (SMTP) may requre authentcaton. Note: Your
user name and password from above wll be used.
Outgong server settngs
Your outgong e-mal server may requre dfferent authentcaton settngs
than your ncomng e-mal server.
Use dfferent user name
for outgong server
A checkbox that lets you enter separate settngs for your outgong
e-mal server.
User name
Your user name for the outgong e-mal server.
Password
Your password for the outgong e-mal server.
Doman
The doman name of the outgong e-mal server.

A connecton that enables you to send personal nformaton more securely.
