About the chargers
Unless otherwise indicated, the charging advice and
instructions in this chapter apply to all chargers.
There are four types of charger available for your Tait
radio battery:
Chargers for intrinsically safe (IS) and non-
incendive (NI) batteries contain circuitry for the
protection of IS and NI batteries. These
chargers are marked with an IS circle logo
.

Desktop charger for standard bat-
teries and desktop charger for IS
and NI batteries: Small enough to
fit on a desk, it charges one bat-
tery at a time.

Multicharger for stan-
dard batteries and
multicharger for IS
and NI batteries:
Charges up to six
batteries. It can be
mounted on a desk,
on a wall, or in an equipment rack.
Warning
The multi-charger must be connected to an
earthed mains socket-outlet.

Vehicle charger (not for IS and
NI batteries): Charges one bat-
tery at a time while installed in
a vehicle.
