Check for inflation and condition of your
vehicle tyres periodically.
Inflation:
Over inflation of tyres makes the vehicle
ride bumpy and harsh. Tyres are more
prone to uneven wear and damage from
road hazards.
Under inflated tyres reduce your comfort
in vehicle handling and are prone to
failures due to high temperature. They
also cause uneven wear and more fuel
consumption.
NOTE
Tyre pressure should be checked in
"cold" condition. Hot tyres tend to
show a slightly higher value.
CAUTION
1. Every time you check inflation
pressure, you should also examine
tyres for damage, trapping of foreign
objects in the treads and wear.
2. If you notice bumps or bulges in the
tread or the side of the tyre, replace
the tyre.
3. If there are cuts, splits or cracks in
the side of the tyre, replace the tyre.
Check the pressure in the tyres when
they are cold.
Proper inflation of tyres gives you the best
combination of riding comfort handling,
tyre life and better fuel efficiency.
