14 - EMERGENCY DEAD MAN OPERATION
This operating mode may be used to move the door in Dead Man mode in special cases, like during installation/maintenance or in case of
photocell/rib malfunction.
To start the “emergency” dead man operating mode activate the start command (START) for 3 seconds.
The Start command (from the terminal board or from the remote control) causes the door to alternately open and close.
To quit this mode wait for 10 seconds without performing any operation.
15 - OPERATION OF THE OBSTACLE DETECTION SENSORS
The control unit PD15 is equipped of a sophisticated system that allows to find if the movement of the door is being prevented by an
obstacle. This system is based on input current measurement.
Through the appropriate SEnS menu it is possible to enable and regulate the threshold of participation of the obstacles sensors.
The monitoring/recognition is carried out either during the normal ride or when slowing down.
Detection of an obstacle during normal movement of the gate results in brief inversion of motion in order to free the obstacle.
If an obstacle is detected during closure, any subsequent automatic closure will be disabled.
16 - SYNCHRONISED OPERATION OF TWO MOTORS
When the door must be automated by two motors, one of the two control units must be configured as MASTER and the other as SLAVE.
The MASTER unit controls the automation operation while the SLAVE control unit only supplies current to the motor.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Install the two motors on the door
m
WARNING: The motors must be installed in the same direction
2.
Link the MASTER-SLAVE connectors of the two control units through the accessory cable identified by code 162416
3.
Supply power to the motors
4.
Identify the two control units as MASTER or SLAVE
5.
Set the
CFG
parameter of the MASTER control unit to
Mt
(default)
6.
Set the
CFG
parameter of the SLAVE control unit to
SL
NOTE:
The control unit set as SLAVE only allows to access the
CFG
and
FinE
menus
7.
Connect to the MASTER control unit all the input and output devices, the coupling receiver and the ADI module (if any)
8.
Only run the self-teaching and parameter configuration procedure on the MASTER control unit.
