The MIB a3ComSysBridgePortReceiveMulticastLimit allows setting an
out-of-range value. (28995)

You cannot configure more than one routing interface on a
multiprotocol VLAN using SNMP. Instead, configure the routing
interface through the Administration Console.
RMON
■
You can use the
snmp rmonConfiguration
command on the
Administration Console to change the RMON statistics default from
collecting receive-only traffic to collecting transmitted and received
traffic. Doing so affects the statistics, history, alarm, and event RMON
groups. The rest of the RMON groups can only collect received traffic;
however, because these groups collect conversation information
between hosts, transmitted traffic also is included in the data for these
tables.
Ethernet
■
Gigabit Ethernet ports do not autonegotiate with a SUN Ultra 2
Gigabit Ethernet card. If traffic is sent from the SUN during
autonegotiation, then autonegotiation completes successfully.

If the autonegotiation feature for a 100 Mbps Ethernet link does not
function properly, disable autonegotiation and manually set the port
speed and duplex mode (
half-duplex
or
full-duplex
). Also, on a
1000 Mbps link, autonegotiation must be enabled on both sides of
the link.

The noRxBuffers (frames that were discarded due to no available
buffer space) counter may increment after an AppleTalk virtual LAN
(VLAN) modify and Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) update.
■
The
rxFrameRate and rxBytes statistics found in the
ethernet detail
display are incorrect. These statistics incorrectly add an extra 8 bytes to
every packet that receives a 100 Mbps port. For example, when a 64
byte frame is sent into a 100 Mbps port, the value

is displayed in
the Ethernet Detail rxBytes field. Also, when 148,880 frames per
second are sent into a 100 Mbit port, the value
151,143
frames per
second is displayed in the Ethernet Detail rxFrameRate field.
Bridging
■
Do not set the Bridge aging time to 0 (zero). (21914)

Bridged IP multicast frames are not counted in the bridge statistics.
■
The bridge port address count, which is the count of the actual
number of addresses in the address table, may not match the bridge
