Known Problems in Release 3.0.5

VLANs
■
VLAN statistics may have non-zero values when you first define a
VLAN.
■
When defining multiple VLANs after a VLAN mode change, you
should wait a short period (5 minutes) after you change the mode
before defining additional VLANs. Moving too quickly causes the
memory on the switch fabric module to become exhausted which
further causes the module to reboot and loose the settings that have
just been changed. (30586)
Internet Protocol (IP)
■
You cannot create an IP interface using SNMP objects. To create an IP
interface, use the Administration Console
ip interface define
command. (29971)
■
The inReceives statistic in the
ip interface statistics
display is
incorrect when overlapped IP VLANs are defined.
■
The IP interface statistic
inDiscards
is always zero; it never
increments.
■
Do not display an Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing table
through a second console session while you are simultaneously
flushing the table.
OSPF
■
A router advertises itself as an Area Border Router (ABR) after it
becomes an internal router under the following scenario:
The router has two interfaces, each of which belongs to a different
area (which makes this router an ABR). When you look at the linkstate
database using
ip ospf linkStateData router
, the router is
advertised as an ABR (correctly). If you move one of the interfaces to
the area of the second interface and delete the unused area, the
system still reports the router as an ABR, although it is actually an
internal router now. To correct this problem, disable and then enable
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) on all interfaces.
