Using F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange
You can add new file types on the attachments
lists by typing the file extensions in the allowed
and disallowed attachments text boxes.
Separate the extensions by spaces.
Enable File Type
Recognition
Trojans and other malicious code can disguise
themselves with filename extensions which are
usually considered safe to use. Intelligent File
Type Recognition can recognize the real file type
of the message attachment and use that while
the attachment is processed. Specify whether
you want to use Intelligent File Type Recognition
or not.
Action
Action on stripped
attachment
Specify whether stripped attachments should be
quarantined or dropped.
Quarantine attachment - All stripped
attachments are placed in the Quarantine. For
more information, see “
Drop attachment - All stripped attachments are
deleted automatically.
By default, F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft
Exchange quarantines stripped attachments.
Send the
informational
message to the
originator
Specify whether an informational message
should be sent to the originator of the message
when an attachment is stripped. Click
Edit
to
edit the message.
