Appendix A. Frequently Asked Questions
1. Turned power switch to ON, but DVR doesn’t turn on.
Check if power cord is properly connected to DC 12V power jack.
2. After turning on DVR, Power LED on front panel lights, but no video output on monitor.
Check if monitor is turned on.
Check if brightness of monitor is too dark.
Check if video output cable on DVR is properly connected to video input cable on monitor and the BNC
connectors are secure.
3. I hear no audio sound.
First access [MENU]-[Device]-[Buzzer] and check if the buzzer menu is “On”.
And then, access [MENU]-[Device]-[Audio],
and check if “Playback” is checked for audio in playback mode,
and check if “Audio Out” is checked for audio in live mode.
4. Remote control doesn’t work.
Check if remote control type is “Universal”. If remote control is universal, access [MENU]-[Device]-
[Remote Control]-[REMOTE CONTROL] and check remote control type : U Type1 ~ U Type6. Press
associated number button on upper part of remote control.
Check batteries in remote control.
5. It doesn’t record on HDD.
Check if overwrite is enabled from [MENU]-[Record]-[Setup]-[Channel].
Check if someone turned DVR off and replaced HDD while schedule recording.
Check if HDDs are detected. Access [MENU]-[SYSTEM]-[INFORMATION] and check checkboxes for
HDD 1 and 2 to detect HDDs.
6. It doesn’t record on date set to holidays.
Check if current time is set correctly from [MENU]-[System]-[Data/Time]-Data/Time,
and also check if holiday date is correctly set from [MENU]-[Record]-[Schedule].
