Chain Lubrication
Lubrication of the drive chain is necessary after rid-
ing in the rain or mud, or any time the chain appears
dry with a high quality lubricant for drive chains.
•
Apply lubricant to the side of the rollers so that it
will penetrate to the rollers and bushings.
•
Wipe off any excess lubricant.
Handlebar
To keep the handlebar properly secured in place,
it is necessary to install the handlebar clamps cor-
rectly.

Torque the clamp bolts to 25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m, 18
ft·lb), front first, then rear. If the handlebar clamps
are correctly installed, there will be no gap at the
front and an even gap at the rear of the clamps
after torquing the bolts.
