Checking/cleaning the spark plug
1. Check the isolator – if damaged, replace the spark plug.
2. Clean the electrodes with a wire brush.
3. Measure the spark plug gap with a feeler gauge – if necessary, correct it by
bending the lateral electrode.
See chapter Technical data for the spark plug gap.
4. Check the spark plug gasket – if damaged, replace the spark plug.
Installing the spark plug
1. First screw in the spark plug manually then tighten it with a combination
wrench.
2. Place the spark plug cap onto the spark plug.
3. Position the air cleaner cap and tighten it.
Torque 5 Nm.
