Self-test

14 SELF-TEST
You can execute internal routines of self-test in the PLC300. The way you enter this test is
different for some models due to the presence or not of the HMI.
How to enter the self-test:
In the models with HMI (HP, HS, HSC and HPC), the PLC must be turned on with the F6
key pressed.
In the models without HMI (BS and BP), you must turn on the PLC with the button
pressed, In the models without HMI (BS and BP), you must turn on the PLC with the
button pressed, release it when the "Release Key" appears, and press it quickly once
more.
Description of the self-test for the models with HMI (HP, HS, HSC and HPC):
1. LEDs and Display test: characters of the block type are shown in all positions of the
display; all the LEDs blink; to exit, press any key.
2. RAM memory test: the user program memory is tested; to finish, press any key.
3. Flash memory test: the flash memory used for the ASR is tested; to end, press any key.
4. Keyboard and buzzer test: when you enter this test, you must press all the PLC300
keys and check by the message if it is correct. Besides, a beep must be heard with
each pressed key, indicating that the buzzer is working properly. Press the ESC key
three times to leave the keyboard test.
5. When leaving the keyboard test, the PLC starts running normally.
Description of the self-test for the models without HMI (BP and BS):
1. LEDs and Display test: characters of the block type are shown in all positions of the
