Blocking by Rating

To select ratings that you want to block:

Blocking by Channel Using Quick Settings

To block or unblock the channel you are currently watching: 

1.  

Press the 

Settings

 button   on your remote once 

to display the Quick Settings menu.

2. 

 Use the 

Up

or 

Down

 arrow buttons to 

highlight “Block this Channel” or “Unblock this 

Channel.”

  Press the 

Select

 button 

. 

Note: Blocks do not take effect until you turn on the 

Parental Control feature. To turn on and turn off the 

Parental Control feature, follow the instructions in 

“Turning Parental Control On or Off” on page 76.

  Press the 

Settings

 button   on your remote twice. This will bring you to the General Settings 

menu. Use the 

Up

or 

Down

 arrow buttons to locate and highlight “Block: Rating.”

2.

 Press the 

Select

 button 

.

3.

 Enter your Parental Control PIN, if required.

4.

  Press the 

Up

or 

Down

 arrow buttons 

to highlight the rating you wish to block.

5. 

 Press the 

Select

 button 

 to block the high-

lighted rating, or press 

 to block 

that rating and all ratings that follow the 

selected rating in the list on the screen. 

Notes: Blocked ratings have a padlock next 

to them. You can press the 

Select button 

 again to unblock the rating.

6. 

Continue repeating until all desired ratings are blocked. 

7.

  Press 

 to accept your list of blocked ratings. 

Note: Blocks do not take effect until you turn on the Parental Control feature. To turn on 

and turn off the Parental Control feature, follow the instructions in “Turning Parental Control  

On or Off” on page 76.
