10. Leave spa cover open during this step to allow exces-
sive chemical vapors to exit spa, protecting pillows and
plastic knobs from chemical attack. If spa is indoors, open
doors and windows for proper ventilation. Turn on all jet
pumps for one hour, then place the massage selector knob
in the center “combo” position and open all air controls.
Note: You will need to press the jets pump button(s) every 20
minutes since these functions have an automatic 20 minute
time-out function that turns them off.
CAUTION:
Never leave your spa unattended for any reason while
the cover is open and accessible to small children and animals!
11. Turn off power to the spa at the circuit breaker, then drain spa as outlined in
section 12.2 “Draining And Refilling” (page
12. Fill spa until water covers all jets but does not touch the bottom of the
lowest headrest. DO NOT OVERFILL.
CAUTION:
Never fill with water from a water softener. If your
water is extremely “hard”, it is preferable to fill half-way with hard
water and the rest of the way with softened water. Or, you may fill
entirely with hard water if you use a special water additive available
from your authorized Jacuzzi dealer.
13. Consult your authorized Jacuzzi dealer for chemical recommendations,
then add chemicals to spa water to achieve a constant sanitizer reading within
the levels recommended by the Association of Pool And Spa Professionals/USA
printed on the inside cover of this manual.
