Defines the IP address of the IP management out-of-band port.

IP address

IP address of the out-of-band 

interface, chosen from the 

range of addresses that the 

central agency assigned to your 

organization. This address is 

specific to your network and 

system. 

Any valid IP address –

Subnet 

mask

32-bit number that uses the 

same format and 

representation as an IP address. 

The subnet mask determines 

which bits in the IP address are 

interpreted as the network 

number, the subnet number, 

and the host number. Each IP 

address bit that corresponds to 

a 1 in the subnet mask is in the 

network/subnet part of the 

address. Each IP address bit 

that corresponds to a 0 is in 

the host part of the IP address.

Any subnet mask 

valid for use with 

the current IP
