2 Product Description
The cabinet system with the drive converter housing V is designed as "4Q-system" and
can regenerate occurring brake energy directly into the supply system. All conventional
three-phase machines with and without encoder system can be operated. The sensor-
less KEB technologies SCL and ASCL are additionally available for highest require-
ments even without encoder feedback.
The cabinet system operates with sinusoidal currents on mains side, both in energy in-
put and at regeneration into the supply system, and is therefore especially low-impact
and mains-gentle.Almost no reactive power is generated due to the integrated active
power factor correction (PFC).
The Active Front End (AFE) technology allows to compensate fluctuations in the sup
-
ply voltage within certain limits. The integrated power step-up converter allows higher
output voltages to the motor. Thereby the power in the field weakening range can be
increased or the voltage drop can be compensated via long motor cables.
For special motor requirements or long motor cables, output motor chokes or sine out-
put filters can be integrated into the system . The cabinet system can be adapted to the
respective customer or application requirements.

2.1 Intended use
The COMBIVERT is used exclusively for the control and regulation of three-phase mo-
tors. It is intended for the installation in electrical systems or machines.
