Funzionamento
Gli airbags sono comandati da una centralina che li
attiva in caso di urto frontale di entità media o alta.
In caso di urto di entità tale che la decelerazione superi
il valore di taratura del sensore interno, la centralina
elettronica di controllo, manda un segnale di apertura
ai bags. Questi iniziano a gonfiarsi, rompendo la co-
pertura lungo la linea di rottura, fino a gonfiarsi total-
mente in poche decine di millisecondi, ponendosi come
protezione fra il corpo del pilota o del passeggero e le
strutture che potrebbero causare lesioni.
Immediatamente dopo l’airbag si sgonfia.
Si raccomanda al pilota ed al passeggero
di non viaggiare utilizzando oggetti (lat-
tine o bottiglie di bevande, pipe, ecc.) che po-
trebbero provocare delle lesioni in caso di in-
tervento dell’airbag.
Quando l’impianto entra in funzione, vengono rilasciati
gas sotto forma di fumo unitamente al gas che viene utiliz-
zato per il gonfiaggio del cuscino.
Questi gas non sono pericolosi.
Guidare tenendo le mani sempre sulla co-
rona del volante in modo che, in caso di
attivazione, l’airbag possa gonfiarsi senza incon-
trare ostacoli.
Tenere sempre lo schienale in posizione eretta
e appoggiarvi bene la schiena.
Non apportare assolutamente modifiche ai sin-
goli componenti dell’impianto o ai cavi.
A chiave inserita ed in posizione II, sia
pure a motore spento, gli airbag possono
attivarsi anche a vettura ferma, qualora que-
sta venga urtata da un altro veicolo in marcia.
Operation
The airbags are controlled by an ECU that activates
them in the case of a head-on collision with medium or
strong impact.
In the case of a collision with an impact force that caus-
es deceleration exceeding the value set for the internal
sensor, the ECU will transmit a signal to open the air-
bags. The bags will begin to inflate, breaking the cover
along the breakage line and will inflate completely in a
few tenths of milliseconds. Once inflated, they will serve
as protection between the driver and/or passenger and
structures that could cause injury.
The airbags deflate immediately afterwards.
The driver and passenger are both advised
not to travel handling objects (beverage
cans or bottles, pipes, etc,) that could cause in-
jury in the case of airbag activation.
When the system starts operating, gases are released in the
form of fumes, together with the gas used for inflating the
airbags.
These gases are not harmful.
Drive with your hands always on the
frame of the steering wheel so that in the
case of activation, the airbag can inflate with-
out obstruction.
Always keep the back of your seat in the upright
position and sit with your back properly rest-
ing on it.
Do not modify the system components or wir-
ing under any circumstances.
With the ignition key inserted and in po-
sition II, although the engine is off, the
airbags can still be activated when the vehicle
is stationary if it is hit by a moving vehicle.
Funcionamiento
Los airbags están accionados por una centralita que
los activa en caso de colisión frontal de media o alta
importancia.
En caso de colisión de una importancia tal que la dece-
leración supere el valor de tarado del sensor interno, la
centralita electrónica de control, envía una señal de
apertura a los airbags. Éstos empiezan a inflarse, rom-
piendo la tapa a lo largo de la línea de rotura, hasta
inflarse completamente en pocas decenas de milise-
gundo, situándose como protección entre el cuerpo del
conductor o del acompañante y las estructuras que
podrían producir las lesiones.
Inmediatamente después se infla el airbag.
Se recomienda que conductor y acompa-
ñante no viajen portando objetos (latas o
botellas de bebida, pipas, etc.) que pudieran
producir lesiones en caso de intervención del
airbag.
Cuando el sistema entra en funcionamiento, se sueltan ga-
ses en forma de humo junto con el gas empleado para inflar
el cojín.
Estos gases no son peligrosos.
Conduzca siempre manteniendo las ma-
nos en el aro del volante de forma que, si
se activa, el airbag no encuentre obstáculos.
Mantenga siempre el respaldo recto y apoye
completamente la espalda.
No modifique en ningún caso cualquiera de los
componentes del sistema o sus cables.
Con la llave introducida y girada en la
posición II, incluso con el motor apaga-
do, los airbags pueden activarse incluso con el
automóvil parado, siempre que se reciba la co-
lisión de otro vehículo en marcha.
