Important Information on the Battery
6.1
General Information
The provided battery is a lithium polymer battery of the highest quality. The battery life is
between 6 and 10 hours, depending on the following conditions:
● LNB power consumption: Single, dual or quad LNB
● Outdoor temperature: At temperatures below 10 °C the battery performance is
reduced by 20 %.
● Age of the battery: The capacity of the battery is annually reduced by 10 %.
Tip
If the meter has been exposed to particularly low or high temperatures, allow
it to rest at room temperature before use.
6.2
Charging the Battery
► Always turn the MSK 130 off before connecting the battery charger.
► Do not leave the battery uncharged over a longer period of time.
► Always charge the battery for at least 7 hours, even if it is not completely discharged.
The battery status has a tolerance of ±20 % and depends on the battery charge condi-
tion and ageing process as well as on the outdoor temperature. The following icons in the
bottom left corner of the touch screen provide information about the battery charge condi-
tion:

Replacing the Battery
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property due to overheating!
► Do not damage or open the battery or subject it to any improper use.
► Use only rechargeable batteries which have been tested and approved
for the unit.
► Make sure that the rechargeable batteries are replaced only by the
Kathrein staff.
