Performing Spectrum Analysis
► Tap the
SPECT
push button in the main menu on the screen or press the
SPECT
button on the keyboard to open the spectrum analyser.
➯ The spectral analysis starts automatically on the channel plan previously selected
or, if the user performed SAT, TV or CATV measurements, on the last channel tuned
by the meter:

TER Span
SAT Span
Using
REF. PWR
① (digital) /
REF. LEV
(analogue) it is possible to change the reference
level.
Via
TRANSP
② (for SAT measurements) or
CHANNEL
(for TV and CATV measurements) it
is possible to change the centre frequency.
At the top of the screen, the meter shows the tuning parameters and the
SPAN
(
③)
parameter via which the area around the measured signal in the graph can be decreased
or increased.
This chapter describes the satellite spectrum analysis which is also valid for the terrestrial
and channel analysis. The main marker indicates the transponder on which the meter is
currently tuned.
The top bar contains its tuning parameters, including LNB polarisation, centre frequency
and transponder number.
► Rotate the navigation wheel or touch the graph over the signal envelope to move the
selection over other transponders.
➯ The marker frequency, transponder number and polarisation change accordingly.
