COM Port Unavailable
The computer may have been started with a different VBOX connected to it; disconnect the Video VBOX LITE,
restart the computer then reconnect the Video VBOX LITE.
Another software package installed on your computer may have reserved the COM port.
Video Data is Corrupt
The storage media may have been removed from the Video VBOX LITE before the logged file is correctly
closed. It is possible to recover corrupted video files using either DivFix (
http://divfix.maxeline.com
) or
VirtualDubMod (
http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net
)
If unsure how to recover corrupted video files contact
support@racelogic.co.uk
.
If ‘Log Only When moving’ is selected ensure the green logging light has stopped flashing before removing the card.
If ‘Log Continuously’ is selected or the grey ‘RECORD’ button has been pressed, pressing the grey ‘RECORD’ button will
close the current video and data file. Wait for the green logging light to stop flashing before removing the SD card.
Cannot Open Video File
The XVid Codec may need to be re-installed (
http://www.xvid.org
)
Video VBOX LITE Beeps continuously
This is normally due to the SD card being full, make sure the RECORD LED has stopped flashing then remove
the SD card.
If the box continues to beep with no SD card inserted, then the scene may be corrupt or incompatible with
the unit. Try re-uploading the scene and see if the beeping stops.
If a re-upload of the scene has failed to stop the unit beeping, try to re-flash the firmware. Put the latest
.vidup file on an SD card and insert into the unit.
If this still does not cure the problem contact
support@racelogic.co.uk
.
Only Audio is present during playback.
When a video file is played back and only the audio works it is likely the correct video codec has not been
installed. Make sure the supplied codec has been installed, and your playback software is capable of playing
AVI files.
No Data is Logged to the VBO file
Check the card is not full
Check the box is in the correct logging mode, if the ‘RECORD’ button has been pressed to start and stop
logging the box is in manual logging mode and will not log until the button is pressed. To return the box back
to log when moving, remove then replace the storage media.
Video Overlay is not moving or responding when the vehicle is moving
If the Elements in the graphical overlay are not responding, check the Video VBOX LITE antenna has a good
satellite reception. The Elements use GPS data so if the Video VBOX LITE has little or no satellite reception
elements will display incorrect or no data.
Video Overlay is missing some or all Elements
If the Elements are not present in the overlay check the size of the scene you are trying to upload to the box,
the scene should not be larger than 12 Mb.
Scene does not upload to the Video VBOX LITE
Check that any gauges contained in the scene use a needle image which is vertical with the rotation point at
the bottom.
Check the size of the scene you are trying to upload to the box, the scene should not be larger than 12 Mb.
If the Video VBOX LITE beeps a warning the next time a scene is uploaded, re-install the firmware on the
Video VBOX LITE and try to upload the scene again. The firmware is available for download from the
Racelogic website.
