ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Remove corrosion from battery ca-
ble terminals and battery posts us-
ing a firm wire brush. Battery top
should be cleaned by soft brush and
any grease-cutting soap or baking soda
solution.
Apply dielectric grease (P/N 293 550
004) or an equivalent on battery posts
to protect against oxidation.
Battery Installation
Reinstall battery in vehicle.
WARNING
Connect RED (+) cable first then
BLACK (-) cable. Always connect
RED (+) cable first.
Fuses
The electrical system is protected with
fuses.
If fuses are damaged, replace them by
one of the same rating.
NOTICE
Do not use a higher rated
fuse as this can cause severe dam-
age.
Fuses are located underneath the seat
in the service compartment. Remove
the seat to allow an access at the fuse
holder.

To remove fuse from holder, unclip and
remove holder cover then pull fuse out.
Check if filament is melted.

Lights
WARNING
Always turn the ignition switch to
OFF position before replacing a de-
fective bulb.
Always check light operation after re-
placement.
