Toll Control Programming for MITEL PBXes
Program 116. Dial out required
IMPORTANT:- Before this feature is enabled the installer must ensure that the test line is
connected to the Call-A-Matic unit and that it has been enabled from the telephone
system.
MITEL SX 20
Port 01 is the test line. Switch 6 on the CPU card must be enabled together with switch 8.
MITEL SX 50
Select an unused port and program it for test line operation in command 100. Register 1 bits E,F,G.
Switch 1 and 2 on control card must also be enabled.
Before connecting the test line to a Call-A-Matic ensure that line is working by connecting a regular
2500 telephone to the test line and try a few attendant functions, e.g. *22 rm no 0. This should open
that room's line. Now decide which type of toll restriction is to be used, type A or type B.
Type A: open/close line through MSG reg key. The programming for MITEL SX 10/20/50 is the same in
the Call a Matic. Refer to Toll control type A on the following pages.
Type B: Allow 1,2,3. For different levels of toll restriction refer to the specific programming for that
type of phone system in the following pages.
For SX 20 installer must program phone system so that:-
Command 911 has allow 1 restrictions
Command 921 has allow 2 restrictions
Toll allowed becomes allow 3 restrictions
Program COS 9 to have no trunk group access in command 619 reg 1. Whenever a room exceeds the
credit limit or is checked out its COS will be changed to COS 9.
For SX 50 you must program ARS so that
RCS 1 has Allow 1 restrictions
RCS 2 has Allow 2 restrictions
RCS 3 has Allow 3 restrictions
When a room exceeds its credit limit the Call-A-Matic will automatically restrict that rooms line to
Allow 1.
