STEP 5: Determining Dialing Pattern for Local Long Distance Calls

Home area code calls are local long distance
Default in the system is b.
For areas in the United States where 7 digits may be local and in-state long distance, you must enter all
the local exchanges into the system. This information is usually found in the front section of the white
pages of your local phone book.
Go to program 115.
Enable Local Long distance option.
Select Add option
Add Local exchanges
Press
after last entry.
For areas where bordering towns in adjacent states may be local calling, but dialing is 10 digit, you
will have to enter all these area code + exchange combinations.
Go to Program 115
Enable 10-digit local calls option
Select Add option
Enter area code + exchanges of all local numbers of bordering states.
Press
after last entry.
For areas where bordering towns in adjacent states may be local calling, but dialing is 1+10 digit,
you will have to enter all these area code + exchange combinations.
Go to Program 115
Enable 1+10 digit local calls option
Select Add option
Enter area code + exchanges of all local numbers of bordering states.
Press
after last entry.
For areas where all calls within the home Area Code are to be dialed with the Area code +
Exchange and are treated as Local Long Distance calls:

Select Add option
Add Home area code
