Unit Status
This page provides detailed information about the
unit:
System Name
The name configured for the switch.
Contact
The person to contact if there is a problem
with the network.
Location
Where the switch is located.
The Unit Name, Location and Contact can be
configured using pages in the Management Settings
category.
Hardware Version
The version of hardware inside
the switch.
MAC Address
The switch’s MAC (Ethernet) address.
Software Version
The version of management
software that the switch is running.
Boot PROM Version
The version of software on the
Boot PROM inside the switch.
System Uptime
The time that has elapsed since the
switch was last reset, initialized or powered on.
To display the Management Addresses page, click
IP Setup
at the bottom of the Unit Status page.
Management Addresses
This page specifies a unique IP address for the
switch, as shown in
. The switch must have
IP configured correctly if you want to manage it over
the network.
If you have no previous knowledge of IP, refer to
. If you change any of these values, you
must reset the switch (refer to
and then re-access the switch using the new values.
