Incoming PRI Calls
After an incoming call arrives, DID(DDI) digits are received by the system and
checked against a Translation Table assigned for the CO Route of the PRI trunk.
If one entry is matched with the Translation Table, and the corresponding
destination exists, the call will be rung or routed to the destination. Otherwise, the
call will ring to a programmed Intercept.
If an Intercept is not programmed, it will ring the Tenant Attendant.
If COLP (Connected Line Identification Presentation) of the CO Route which the
trunk is incoming is set to “Preset” or the Send Caller ID of the Extension which
answers the call is ‘Y’, COLP will be included in the T_Connect_Out message and
the Answering Party Number will be sent to the Network after the extension
answers the PRI call.
If the incoming PRI call is translated and routed for an outgoing trunk call, the
PRI trunk’s COS will be referenced for Toll Restriction checking when making the
outgoing call. No Answering Party Number will be sent to the Network in such
case.
The incoming PRI Trunk Call will ring the destination (Extension or Hunt Group)
until the destination answers or the outside party abandons the trunk.
Call Operation (Hold and Transfer) for the PRI Trunk call operated by the
extensions will follow the ordinary trunk call operations in the Emerald ICE
system.
T1 Calls
Loop Start
Similar to Analog Trunk with Loop Start.
Ground Start
Similar to Analog Trunk with Ground Start. A “Tip Ground” must be detected
first and then the dialed number would be sent to CO for the outgoing trunk call.
For outgoing trunk calls, after a Ground tip ‘0,X’ is received the transmit signaling
must be changed from ‘0,0’ to ‘0,1’ and then changed to ‘1,1’ immediately.
