DID
Used for incoming trunk calls only. After receiving an incoming call signaling, the
DSP on the T1 is receives the Caller ID and DID number in “DTMF”. Dial Tone
will be provided to the incoming DID trunk. After the Caller ID (if provided) and
DID number are received, the destination corresponding to the Service Mode (Day
/ Night) by that time will be received after checking against the Translation Table
programmed for that Trunk Route of the T1Trunk. If no destination is found or the
destination does not exist, the incoming call will be routed to a programmed
Intercept extension. If the Intercept is not programmed, it will ring to the Tenant
Attendant. If no DID digit in DTMF is received within 10 seconds, the trunk will
be routed to the Intercept No. and the call will ring to the Intercept. If the
Intercept is not programmed, it will ring to the Tenant Attendant.
Call Forward will operate if the designated extension has Call Forward set or
Predefined CFW programmed.
If the final called extension is busy, a busy tone will be provided to the far end.
If the final called extension is in DND, a congestion tone will be provided to the
farend.
If the incoming call is translated and routed for an outgoing trunk call, the
incoming T1 trunk’s COS will be referenced for Toll Restriction checking when
making the outgoing call.
The incoming Call will ring the destination (Extension or Hunt Group) until the
destination answers or the outside party abandons the trunk.
Call Operation (Hold and Transfer) for the T1 Trunk call operated by the
extensions will follow the ordinary trunk call operations in the Emerald ICE
system.
E&M
Outgoing Calls
Immediate Start ‐ Similar to Loop Start Trunk.
Wink Start ‐ A ‘wink’ must be detected first, and the dialed number will be sent to
a CO line. If the system does not get the ‘wink’, the call will be dropped.
Incoming Call
Similar to DID Trunk. For an incoming Wink Start Trunk Call, a Wink Start
(Transmit Signaling: ‘0,0’ ‘1,1’ ‘0,0’) must be provided from T1 card.
The operation for an incoming E&M trunk is the same as DID trunk.
