3). When a line is selected, the following options will be available in the Rule Configuration
Menu:
VCA Line – Rule Config.
Description
Name
Name the line. This name will be used to refer to this particular line
throughout the cameras browser interface.
Color
Assign a color to the line. This will allow for fast visual recognition
when multiple zones/lines are present.
Object Class Filter
Create an Object Filter. Object filters can be used to filter
predefined objects from triggering an analytics event. Filters can
also be configured to trigger an event ONLY when a specific object
class has contacted the line.
Include/Exclude – SelectIncludeto trigger an event with only
objects of the selected classification. Select Excludeto exclude
objects of the selected classification from triggering analytics
events.
To create an Object Class Filter, check off a filter and choose the
object class in the Value field drop-down (Filter 0 is actively
filtering the Clutter object class in the below example).

Presence
Enable this rule to trigger an analytics event whenever an object
comes into contact with any portion of the line. The line will
remain triggered so long as contact is maintained between the line
and the object.
Enter
Enable this rule to trigger an analytics event whenever an object
contacts the line.
Exit
Enable this rule to trigger tan analytics event whenever an object
ceases contact with the line.
Appear
Enable this rule to trigger an analytics event whenever an object is
detected and is already in contact with the line. This rule is
generally reserved for use with zones and is not recommended for
lines.
Disappear
Enable this rule to trigger an analytics event whenever the camera
ceases tracking an object which was in contact with the line before
tracking ceased. This rule is generally reserved for use with zones
and is not recommended for use with lines (tripwires).
Stopped
Enable this rule to trigger an analytics event whenever an object
has stopped moving on the line for equal or greater than the
defined amount of Time (Seconds).
